run while you can

The Jungle Man-ifesto.

Giving 'adult' a new meaning. Icheon, South Korea. Spring 2011.

Trust me,
at that age, your peers stop playing.
They pretend then,
no matter how many times they’ve
traveled to Neverland
on happy thoughts alone
or portrayed their world with
a purple crayon.
Make-believe becomes fictitious entitlement,
an imaginary fortune.
What we need,
truthfully,
is a giant jungle gym
just for adults.
Monkey bars and a balance beam,
gossip at the tire swing.

*For best results, listen using headphones.
